Founded in July 2008, K-9 Rescue Remedy was originally set up to help owners of rescue dogs deal with their dog's challenging behavioural issues that sadly are all too common, due to their often tragic and neglected past lives. The charity has come a very long way since it was first established.

K-9 Rescue Remedy (or K-9RR for short) is run entirely by volunteers, with our main objective being to stop as many dogs as possible from going back into rescue, by promoting responsible dog ownership and positive behavioural training.

We support our members by; helping them to understand and read their dog's behaviour; promoting a non-judgmental environment offering online and telephone support when they need it .  All of our dogs train to pass the Bronze, Silver and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizens Award. We meet on Sunday mornings at Sedlescombe Village Hall during school term times.

Please see the dog training page for more information about training.

In addition to the training club we also run a small rescue to help as many destitute dogs as it can.  The rescue mainly accommodates dogs in foster homes until their forever home can be found - so we are always looking for foster parents for dogs.  Please contact us if you think you might be a special person that could foster for us.  Likewise if you would like to donate to our cause that would be very much appreciated too.  And you can be assured, every single penny donated goes directly towards food and veterinary bills for our foster dogs.

If you are having behaviour issues with your rescue dog and feel that you need help, you can contact us on 07446 231 015.
